One of our favorite things to do in the Arizona summers is to do a staycation! Luxury hotels in Scottsdale and Phoenix offer cheap rates during the summer months. So whether you live in Arizona or are visiting from out of town to take advantage of the great hotel prices, here are some of the best resorts for families in Scottsdale and Phoenix.
The Phoenician is a great resort to visit with your whole family. From the large rooms with great views to the kid-friendly water playground with a tree house and water slide, your kids will have a blast. They also offer various activities during the day as well as movies at the pool at night.
We stayed here with a free Marriott Certificate. Since we have the cobranded card, we get a free night of up to 50,000 points per year. Right now there is a great bonus on this card. Check it out here.
This family-friendly resort has amazing service as well. They even set up your towels on your pool loungers and bring you a complimentary bucket of cold water bottles. I love that kind of service!
2. Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch
At the Hyatt, your family can enjoy the beach and pool at the same time!
For parents, this is the best of both worlds. Your children can play in the sand without coming away with sand stuck everywhere! They also have a super fun water slide. Rooms are cozy, clean, and modern. The Hyatt has many fun yard games to play while jumping from pool to pool.
Did you know, you can stay at Hyatt’s for free with credit card points? To learn more about that, head over to my blog post on how to book an almost free vacation with miles and points.
3) Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale
There is so much to do at the Great Wolf Lodge! The indoor waterpark is endless fun for families. My kids loved getting their wolf ears at check-in. When you want to take a break from swimming, the Great Wolf Lodge has indoor bowling, mini-golf, ropes courses, and arcades as well. You won't even have to leave the lodge for food or dessert as they have both. The rooms are decorated in woodsy themes and offer plenty of sleeping space for families.
The best part of staying at the Great Wolf Lodge is that you can check in at 1 pm and get an early start at the waterpark. They also allow you to stay the following day at the waterpark until closing (although you will need to check out of your room). That way if you choose to stay just one night, you will have plenty of time to enjoy all that the Lodge offers. The Great Wolf Lodge is decorated for holidays and has various activities during the holidays!
After a full day at the waterpark, you and your signficant other may need an adults-only staycation to relax. A great option is the Adero Scottsdale Resort. Read about how we stayed there in a $900 hotel room for $60! For more information on that resort, check out this post.
Although we used a Groupon for our stay, you could actually stay here with points and miles either through a travel eraser card or through a travel portal.
These are my top 3 choices for Scottsdale resorts for families. Have you visited any of these resorts? What is your favorite family resort? Let me know in the comments.
