Is the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme worth the hype? My Full Review

Our Stay at the Park Hyatt Paris for $0.

We stayed one night at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme using Hyatt points—and it was amazing! This hotel usually costs $2,000 to $3,000 per night. We paid just 45,000 points per room and $0 out of pocket. What a deal!

We did a split stay in Paris. First, we spent two nights at the Hyatt Regency Paris. For our last night, we moved to the Park Hyatt. I had heard great things and really wanted to check this property off my bucket list.

We booked two rooms for our family of five. One was a standard room and the other used a suite upgrade. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the Ambassador Suite, which costs over $5,700 a night!

The Welcome at the Park Hyatt Paris

We took a taxi from the Hyatt Regency to the Park Hyatt Paris since we were switching hotels and had all our luggage with us. The ride took less than 20 minutes. When we arrived, the staff greeted us right away and took care of our bags.

Our room wasn’t ready yet, but that was expected since we arrived around 9 a.m. We mainly wanted to drop off our luggage before heading out for a museum tour at the Louvre.

Check-in was smooth. They kindly offered us a coffee or latte, but we had already had our morning coffee and were in a bit of a rush. Around noon, we got a text saying our room was ready. The service was excellent, and we were excited to hear we had been upgraded!

The Room & Suite at Park Hyatt Paris

Since we have Hyatt Globalist status, we used a suite upgrade on one of the standard rooms. We also booked a second standard room. To our surprise, we were upgraded even further—to the Ambassador Suite, which normally costs over $5,700 per night!

The suite connected to the standard room, which made it perfect for our family. It was massive—tons of space! There were three toilets, two full bathrooms, a full living room and sitting area, two large closets, and a huge bedroom. The best part? Four Juliet balconies with views of Paris!

They also welcomed us with a beautiful gift: champagne, juices, macarons, cookies, and a handwritten note. The suite came stocked with local treats, including two large chocolate bars and jars of mixed nuts. They also added balloons in the standard room for my daughter’s birthday.

This was such a special experience. As a large family, having so much space made a huge difference. It was an incredibly generous upgrade, and one we’ll never forget.

The Service at the PH Paris

The service was outstanding. Every time we had a question or needed something, the staff was kind, helpful, and made us feel welcome. Every interaction was a positive one.

The View from the Ambassador Suite

As I mentioned earlier, our Ambassador Suite had four Juliet balconies. Each one offered beautiful views of Paris and added so much charm to the space.

The Food at PH Paris

We only experienced breakfast during our stay, which was included with our Hyatt Globalist status. Globalist benefits cover breakfast for two adults and two children. Even though we’re a family of five, we’ve rarely been charged for the extra person, especially when traveling internationally. Hyatt is very generous with this benefit.

The buffet breakfast was beautifully presented and had a large variety of options. In addition to the buffet, we could also order a dish from the menu. I chose the avocado toast, which was decent, though I’ve had better. My kids didn’t care for the pancakes, which were made in a cornmeal style.

Overall, we enjoyed the breakfast, but it wasn’t our favorite. We’ve had better experiences at other Hyatt properties.

The Parking

Parking costs €65 per night, but it’s complimentary for Hyatt Globalists—a great added perk if you have status.

Hotel Status

Our Hyatt status really made a difference during this stay—from the incredible room upgrade to the included breakfast for our family of five. This hotel is a great place to use suite upgrade awards and truly shines when you have Globalist status. That said, it would still be an amazing stay without status. If you don’t have status, you can try to book through Guest of Honor to enjoy similar perks.

We requested a late checkout and were given the standard room until about 2 p.m. It was a bit disappointing not to get the 4 p.m. checkout, especially since we had a late-night flight.

Location of PH Paris

The location of this property is truly its biggest highlight. It’s just a short 10-minute walk to the Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens, designer shops, Place Vendôme, and the Opéra Garnier.

Booking on Hyatt Points

This hotel is part of the Hyatt portfolio and can be booked as a Category 8 property, costing between 35,000 and 45,000 points per night depending on whether your dates fall under off-peak, standard, or peak pricing. For a property like this, it’s an incredible deal! The Cash rates easily go for 2500+ a night.

Family Rooms

You might be able to add a child to a standard room without extra charges. However, since we used suite upgrade awards, we booked directly into a suite that sleeps three, so we didn’t need to ask. For a family of four or five, you will definitely need to book two rooms.

Would we return to the Park Hyatt Paris?

We loved the location of this hotel—it’s truly perfect for exploring Paris. That said, the room style wasn’t really my favorite, as I usually prefer a more modern look. Breakfast was just okay in my opinion, though the service was great.

This was a bucket list stay for us, and I’m glad we experienced it. But with the high number of points required, I don’t see myself booking it again. It’s definitely a great option if you’re looking for a luxury splurge!
