Wondering how far 100,000 points can take you? At a minimum, that’s $1,000 in free travel—but transfer those points to the right travel partners, and the value can go much further. Here are 10 of the best ways to stretch those points for maximum value.

Below are 10 of my favorite ways to redeem 100,000 credit card points.

1. Transfer to Hyatt

Here’s how far 100,000 points can take you when transferred to Hyatt:

• Stay 4 nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa
• Stay 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa
• Stay 5 nights at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach
• Stay 4 nights at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa
• Stay 3 nights at the Park Hyatt Kyoto
• Stay 2–3 nights at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme
• Stay 4 nights at the Park Hyatt Dubai
• Stay 9 nights at a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place near Disneyland
• Stay 4 nights at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa
• Stay 7 nights at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort

2. Transfer to Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic’s switch to dynamic pricing has actually created some incredible redemption opportunities! You can score amazing deals like lie-flat business class from the U.S. to London for just 29,000 points or economy flights from the East Coast for as low as 6,000 points!

• Book 5 round-trip tickets from LAX to London in economy—just pay the taxes and fees, and you’ll still have points left over!
• Book 4 one-way premium economy tickets from the U.S. to London for as low as 10,500 points each!
• Book 4 one-way tickets to Africa on KLM using Virgin Atlantic points for around 27,000 points each!
• Book 3 one-way business class tickets from the U.S. to London for as low as 29,000 points each!

With the right redemptions, Virgin Atlantic points can take you farther for less. Keep an eye out for transfer bonuses to make these deals even sweeter!

3. Transfer to Flying Blue

Flying Blue (Air France/KLM’s loyalty program) offers great award rates, especially if you take advantage of their monthly Promo Rewards or the 25% discount for kids 11 and under on award flights!

• Fly economy from the U.S. to Europe for as low as 25,000 points each way
• Fly business class to Europe starting at 60,000 points one-way (check for lower rates during promos!)
• Book a family trip: 2 adults + 2 kids can fly to Europe one-way for fewer points thanks to the 25% child discount
• Fly to Tahiti! Book 4 one-way flights from the U.S. to Tahiti for as low as 25,000 points each

4. Transfer to British Airways

British Airways Avios can unlock some amazing flight deals, especially when flying on partner airlines. Here are some great ways to use your points:

• Fly from the USA to New Zealand or Fiji for just 36,000 points one-way
• Book a flight to Hawaii or Alaska from the West Coast for 16,000 points each way (after transferring Avios to Qatar Airways or Finnair) Check out my free guide HERE on how to do this.
• Fly to Madrid from the US starting at 21,000 points one-way
• Book a one-way flight in Qatar Airways Qsuites—one of the best business class experiences in the sky

British Airways also often runs transfer bonuses, which can make these redemptions even sweeter!

5. Transfer to Air Canada Aeroplan

Aeroplan offers great value for Star Alliance flights, including United, Lufthansa, and more. Here are some of the best ways to redeem your points:

• Fly from the US to Tahiti on United for 35,000 points one-way (plus taxes & fees)
• Book Lufthansa’s new business class from Munich to Chicago for 70,000 points each way (plus taxes & fees)
• Great for United flights—While Aeroplan’s award rates have increased recently, there are still solid deals to be found!

6. Transfer to United

If you want to fly a Star Alliance airline using United miles, you can book flights on ANA, Lufthansa, SWISS, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air Canada, Avianca, TAP Air Portugal, EVA Air, Thai Airways, and many more. (For a complete list, click HERE.)

Most of the time, you’ll find better award pricing through the airlines (above) various loyalty programs (rather than through United), but if you already have United miles, transferring points can help top off your balance for a great redemption!

Here are some ways to use United Miles:

• Book a business class ticket on United Polaris for 88,000 points one-way
• Book economy seats on United when they’re running a sale for lower award rates!

United miles are flexible and easy to redeem, making them a solid option for Star Alliance flights!

7. Transfer to Southwest Airlines

With Southwest’s recent devaluation, transferring points may not always be the best move—unless you need to top off your balance for a specific redemption. However, there are still great deals to be found!

Always compare cash vs. points rates to ensure you’re getting at least 1.5 cents per point
Companion Pass holders: Transferring points can be a great option since your companion flies free (just pay taxes!)
Southwest now has variable pricing, so always check that you’re getting good value

Here’s how we’ve used Southwest points in the past:

• Fly to Hawaii for as low as 15,000 points each way (we once booked for just 6,000 points each way!)
• Visit the Caribbean: Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, and more for 20,000+ points each way
• Fly to Costa Rica or Belize for as low as 15,000 points each way
• Fly from Phoenix to San Francisco for as low as 2,500 points each way

While Southwest may not be the best transfer partner for everyone, strategic redemptions—especially with a Companion Pass—can still unlock serious value!

8. Transfer to Singapore Airlines

Transferring points to Singapore Airlines can unlock great value for both economy and business-class travel. Here are some top redemption ideas:

• Fly from the USA to Japan for 38,500 points in economy or 103,500 in business class
• Fly from JFK to Frankfurt in economy for 25,000 points or in business class for 81,000 points one-way
• Fly from LAX to Singapore for 42,000 points each way in economy and 107,000 points in business class

Singapore Airlines offers some of the best premium cabin experiences, making it a great option for using your points!

9. Transfer to Emirates Airlines (ending 10/16/25)

Emirates offers some of the most luxurious flight experiences, and transferring points can unlock incredible redemptions!

One of our favorite redemptions was flying Emirates business class from JFK to Milan. My husband even experienced first class, which includes:

A shower in the sky
Luxury amenities

Here’s how you can redeem points for Emirates flights:

• Fly business class from JFK to Milan for as low as 108,000 points when booking a round-trip, that’s just 54,000 points each way!
• Book a one-way business class ticket for 87,000 points
• Mix economy and business class on a round-trip to save points—great for families!

10. Top off your balance on Marriott or IHG

Need just a few more points to book a Marriott stay? Transferring points can be a great move—especially when it helps you unlock Marriott’s 5th Night Free benefit. While Marriott redemptions typically require a lot of points, this strategy can work well for high-value properties like Le Méridien Maldives, where award rates sometimes drop to 50,000 points per night. Once you have enough for four nights, your fifth night is free—maximizing your value.

For the IHG award program, transferring points can also be useful, particularly when it helps you take advantage of IHG’s 4th Night Free perk. Since IHG hotels often have high award rates, transfers usually aren’t ideal—but if you’re close to booking a top-tier property like the Kimpton Seafire in Grand Cayman, it can be worth it. For example, if you have enough points for two nights, transferring just enough to book a third night will unlock a free fourth night.

Keep an eye out for transfer bonuses to these programs—when the timing is right, it can make even more sense to top off your balance!
