Hyatt Beachfront Resort that sleeps up to 6 in a standard room
Are you part of a large family struggling to find hotel rooms that fit everyone and can be booked with points? I’ve got the perfect solution! Our recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater, Florida, was everything we hoped for and more. From spacious accommodations to incredible beachfront views, this resort truly delivers. Instead of paying over $500 per night, we used just 25,000 Hyatt points per night, which I transferred from my Chase Sapphire Preferred® Credit Card. There’s nothing better than a nearly FREE stay at a beachfront resort! The Hyatt Regency Clearwater is the perfect family-friendly getaway.

Here’s what made our experience unforgettable:
The Room
Finding hotel rooms that accommodate us comfortably can be challenging as a family of five. The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort exceeded our expectations with its spacious suites! A standard two Queen bedroom has a fully equipped kitchen, a kitchen bar, a big sleeper sectional in the living area, and a separate bedroom. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, however, the only difference from a standard room is an extra bedroom and a better view. The standard suite is over 800 square feet and offers a partial ocean view! The beds were comfortable, and the pull-out sofa was perfect for the kids.
The Beach
The resort’s location right on Clearwater Beach is unbeatable. The soft, white sand and calm waters make it perfect for families with kids. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available for rent at half off, but we also loved lounging in the resort’s pool area, which overlooks the beach. Sunsets at Clearwater Beach are stunning, and watching them from the comfort of the resort was a highlight of our trip.
The Food
The dining options at the resort were excellent. We enjoyed breakfast at SHOR American Seafood Grill, which offered a variety of delicious dishes and stunning ocean views. Thanks to our Hyatt Globalist Status, breakfast was included for our family. Normally, Globalist benefits cover breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children, but our waiter kindly informed us that everything would be covered for our group. The total bill came to $129, but we only paid $4 at checkout. We’re not entirely sure what that small charge was for, but we were incredibly grateful that nearly the entire meal was covered! The food was fantastic—our kids loved the buffet, my husband ordered the steak and eggs, and I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.
For lunch and dinner, the resort’s prime location made it easy to explore nearby restaurants or grab a quick bite at the on-site market. One highlight was our dinner at Bavaro’s Italian, where the pizza was absolutely delicious. It’s definitely worth a visit!
The Service
The service at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort was exceptional. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were offered Champagne or water on arrival. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations or special requests. We felt truly welcomed, which made our experience even more enjoyable.
The View
Being able to have an ocean view by just booking a standard room doesn’t happen often, but it’s a treat when it does! The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking. Overlooking Clearwater Beach, we could watch the waves roll in and enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets from our private balcony. Waking up to such a stunning view each morning was a dream come true and added an extra layer of relaxation to our vacation.
The Activities
The resort offers plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Movies, crafts, and snacks by the pool are just to name a few. Our kids loved the heated pool. The resort has a hot tub on the top floor with fantastic views.
The Location
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort is perfectly situated in the heart of Clearwater Beach. Restaurants, shops, and entertainment are just a short walk away. We loved being able to park the car and walk everywhere. Whether you want to enjoy water sports, take a stroll along the beach, or explore local attractions, the location couldn’t be better.
Parking
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort offers self-parking or Valet. For Globalist the parking fee is waived, so we opted for valet. Normally parking is $26 for self-parking and $40 for valet.
Booking on Points
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort is a category 6 hotel which means you can book for 21,000 to 29,000 points per night. When you book with points, you do not pay a resort fee. If you have Globalist, the parking fee will also be waived.
Why We’d Return
What truly set this resort apart was value we received from our stay. The ability to book our stay with Hyatt points and stay in one large and comfortable room made this trip even sweeter. Instead of paying over $500 per night, we used 25,000 Hyatt points per night, transferred from our Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. A beachfront resort stay for free? Yes, please!
If you’re looking for a relaxing yet exciting getaway for your family, the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort is a top-notch choice. We’re already dreaming of our next stay.
