Beachfront hotels with Bunkbeds

We love finding unique hotels that we can book with points. Here are some hotels that are great for families that are bookable with points and miles.

We used Southwest Airlines to fly to these destinations. My husband and I both earned Southwest companion passes last year, meaning that we can each have one of our children (or any other person we choose) fly free. Since we have three kids, we only have to pay for three tickets when our whole family flies. And better yet, we used Southwest points to book the first ticket and added on the companion ticket for just the taxes of $5.60 each way.

Come follow us on Instagram, where we share all of our trips.

Holiday Inn Express Panama City Beach

We used 120,000 points to book the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Panama City Beach for four nights. It was 40,000 points per night and the 4th night is free when booked with points.

One of the best things about this hotel room is that you are guaranteed oceanfront and the rooms sleep six, with two queens, and a set of bunk beds. The rooms also have full-size refrigerators and microwaves. There is a large bathroom as well.

You could not ask for a better view! Each room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful water of 30a. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes away from upscale areas of Inlet Beach, Seaside, and Rosemary Beach.

The hotel also has a lazy river and beach entry pool. Of course, free hot breakfast is included, as this is a Holiday Inn Express.

Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites by Marriott

We paid a cash rate of $120 a night at the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach and used our suite upgrades to reserve a two-bedroom room. You can book this hotel with 35,000- 40,000 Marriott points per night and the fifth night is free when booking with points. Since we traveled in February, which is off-season, the cash rates were cheap and we opted to use cash.

We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite because of our Platinum Status. When choosing your suite upgrade, you have a choice between several two bedrooms. One of the two bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds. These rooms sleep eight!

This hotel sits beachfront and offers views of the bay. The beach is beautiful and a great place for kids to swim because there are very few waves. The restaurant has a great view of the bay as well.

The pool, although smaller, has an amazing view of the ocean. There is plenty of comfortable modern seating around the pool and outdoors.

The resort offers bikes as well. If you have platinum status or higher, you have access to snacks and drinks anytime you need them from the Delta Pantry. This counts as your continental breakfast.

If you do not have Marriott Platinum status, you may not be able to stay in the bunk bed suites for free. However, if you book your room with points, you may be able to contact the hotel and pay an upgrade charge to reserve this room.

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

Another great option, if you have Hilton points, is the deluxe junior suites and family parlor suites at the Hilton Sandestin. These rooms have a set of bunk beds. You can book this hotel for around 90,000 points and up depending on the season. Hilton also offers a fifth night free when you book consecutive nights with points.

These rooms have mini-refrigerators and microwaves which is great for families. They also offer views of the beautiful beach in Destin.

These are great hotel choices for families looking for larger rooms and bunk beds. All of these hotels are bookable with points! If you’re not sure where to get started with points and miles, read this.

Have you stayed at any of these hotels? Let me know in the comments!
